CASTINE – Melikke Van Alstyne rushed for 251 yards and five touchdowns to lead Framingham State to a 42-14 victory over Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday.

The Rams (5-2, 4-0 New England Football Conference) led 27-0 before the Mariners (4-2, 2-2) scored on a 1-yard run by Matthew Rende with 42 seconds left in the third quarter.

Maine Maritime scored again just 52 seconds later when Frank True returned a fumble 17 yards for a TD.

Nick Bourassa ran for 81 yards on 13 carries for the Mariners.

WESLEYAN 21, BATES 14: LaDarius Drew had 26 carries for 162 yards and three touchdowns as the Cardinals (3-1) built a 21-0 lead and held off the Bobcats (2-2) at Middletown, Conn.

Bates quarterback Trevor Smith completed 23 passes for 219 yards, including touchdowns to Ryan Curit and Tom Finkenstaedt.

MOUNT IDA 50, HUSSON 0: Johrone Bunch ran for 207 yards and three TDs to lead the Mustangs (3-3, 2-1 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference) over the Eagles at Newton, Mass.

AMHERST 31, COLBY 7: The Jeffs (4-0) scored first-half touchdowns on an interception return and a punt return as they built a 17-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Mules (0-4) at Waterville.

Colby scored on a 25-yard pass from Connor Walsh to Nick Joseph.
