SOUTH PORTLAND – Jack Lano split two defenders and scored in the second overtime as South Portland earned a 2-1 win over Portland in an SMAA boys’ soccer match Saturday.

Paley Burlin’s goal 10:23 into the game gave Portland (9-2-2) a 1-0 lead. Caleb Elsemore chipped in a free kick to tie the game in the second half.

Shawn Shannon made six saves to record the win for the Red Riots (9-2-2).

SCARBOROUGH 4, SANFORD 0: Andrew Jones scored twice in the second half as the Red Storm (10-1-2) pulled away from the Redskins (2-10) at Scarborough.

Sam Cekaba and Austin Downing also scored.

YORK 7, LAKE REGION 0: Pierce Twohig scored four goals and Liam Langaas collected two assists as the Wildcats (10-1-2) cruised to a win over the Lakers (0-13) at York.

Zack Bald, Kyle Robinson and Willy Bennett added a goal apiece.

MT. VIEW 2, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: James Philbrick and Aaron Elkins each scored a goal and Philbrick also had an assist as the Mustangs (10-3) beat the Panthers (2-9-2) at Waldoboro.

POLAND 7, WELLS 0: Logan Nichols had four goals and an assist to power the Knights (3-10) past the Warriors (1-11) at Wells.

WINSLOW 2, MORSE 1: Taylor Roy scored his second goal of the game with 13 minutes remaining to give the Black Raiders a win over the Shipbuilders at Bath.

CHEVERUS 3, BONNY EAGLE 1: Elliot Maker had two goals and an assist as the Stags (10-2-1) got past the Scots (2-10) at Portland.

Nick Melville added a goal and an assist for Cheverus, which overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit.

Shayne Plummer scored for Bonny Eagle, and Jeff Martin made 15 saves.

WAYNFLETE 5, FREEPORT 1: William Cleaves and Teabo Knoth each scored a pair of goals as the Flyers (10-0-3) defeated the Falcons (5-7-1) at Freeport.

Josh Weirich had the goal for Freeport.
