NORTH YARMOUTH — Maine authorities have arrested a 38-year-old man on a sexual assault charge, saying the investigation involves a 14-year-old girl.

The North Yarmouth man was arrested at 10:20 a.m. today. The Portland Press Herald has a policy of not naming individuals charged with sex crimes until they have appeared in court.

Capt. Shawn O’Leary of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says the man, who is being held at the Cumberland County Jail, may face additional charges.
