I am pleased to support Katherine “Kate” Arno for the District 2 seat on the Freeport Town Council. We are fortunate to have such a talented candidate at a time when key decisions affecting the town’s future will have to be made. Kate has lived in Freeport for over 20 years, and has served on the Economic Development Commission, the Historical Society and the Cable Franchise Renewal Committee. Kate received a master’s degree in public policy and management in 2008 and is currently employed as a senior manager and senior policy associate at the Muskie School of Public Service at USM. Prior to this she worked for over 20 years in community television and media. Kate’s husband is a small business owner, and she has a daughter who is now in college.
Kate’s depth of experience, her commitment to the town, her energy and integrity will serve Freeport well.
