• Megan Sullivan was hired as a systems analyst at Northcross Group in Portland. Sullivan has experience in programming, software development, business and systems analysis.

• Jill Murphy was hired at Carroll Harper and Associates, Inc. in Southwest Harbor. Murphy, of Seal Cove, will be responsible for all long-term care insurance sales support.

• Karen Nash joined TD Insurance as an assistant vice president and account administration manager in employee benefits. Nash, of North Hampton, N.H., has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

• Robert Muller was recently named vice president of Sub Sea Research LLC in Gorham. Muller has experience in digital mapping, remote sensing and information technology services.

• Nick Battista joined the Island Institute as director of marine programs. Battista previously served as legislative aide and field representative for marine, natural resources, energy, environment and taxes for Maine Congresswoman Chellie Pingree.

OA Centers for Orthopaedics hired nine people at its new medical and physical therapy office in Brunswick.

• Tia Adams of Portland joined OA as a medical office assistant. Adams previously worked as a communications specialist at Plastic and Hand Surgical Associates in South Portland.

• Scott Hannigan of Scarborough was hired as a physical therapist. Hannigan was previously with Joint Ventures Physical Therapy and Fitness in Boston, Mass.

• Melissa Jackson of Topsham joined the physical therapy team as a physical therapist and hand specialist. She was previously with Coastal Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, P.A.

• Matthew Somma of Gray was promoted to physical therapy clinic manager. Somma was previously a physical therapist at its center in Saco.

• Audrey McKenzie of Westbrook was promoted to clinical assistant. McKenzie worked previously at the OA office in Portland and has more than 20 years of experience in athletic training.

• Christie Gravel of Greene was promoted to medical office assistant. Gravel has more than 15 years of experience in medical administration, including six years in the Portland appointment center.

• Donna DeBiasio of Topsham was promoted to medical office assistant. DeBiasio has more than 10 years of medical office experience.

• Jill Clark and Peter Clark have moved their offices to the new Brunswick location.


• Jonathan Reitman, an attorney in Brunswick, was presented with the Janet Milley Award for Board Leadership from Pine Tree Legal Assistance.

Reitman has served on Pine Tree’s board of directors since 1983 and currently serves as the chair of the negotiations committee. He is a partner with Gosline & Reitman in Brunswick.

• Mary Lou Magno, a retired city clerk in Auburn, was recently named a recipient of the Lorraine M. Fleury award during the Secretary of State’s 2011 Elections Conference.

Magno, who retired in June, served the citizens of Auburn for 38 years. She managed five voting locations and nearly 16,000 voters.

• Seven attorneys from Skelton, Taintor & Abbott were named to the 2012 edition of Best Lawyers.

The attorneys who made the list include Jill Checkoway, Bryan Dench, Gretchen Jones, Ron Lebel, Michael Poulin, Alan Stone and Steve Wade.
