YARMOUTH — A public forum will be held Tuesday to help determine the fate of two dams in the Royal River.
A panel of experts and town leaders will discuss the future of the dams at Bridge Street, which includes a power-generating plant, and East Elm Street.
The town was an industrial hub in the past and the river was a great source of power.
Town leaders are weighing the cost of maintaining the dams against their various environmental impacts.
The forum starts at 7 p.m. in the community room at Yarmouth Town Hall.
