Until Nov. 14: American Legion Bingo takes place every Monday night at the Windham Veterans Center behind Big Lots on Route 302 (795 Roosevelt Trail) in Windham. Through Nov. 13: Lake Region High School Drama Club and Director Eugene Long present the hit comedy “You Can’t Take It With You” at the Lake Region High School Auditorium Nov. 10, 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. and matinees on Nov. 12 and 13 at 2 p.m. You’ll snicker, you’ll giggle. . . You’ll laugh. . . you’ll guffaw. . . you’ll have the time of your life meeting the Sycamores and the Kirbys. Tickets are available in advance for $2 less than on the days of the show at $4 students and $6 adults and can be purchased at Bridgton Books, Lake Region High School, and Naples Pizza and Dugout.

Nov. 11-20: Windham High School presents “The Wizard of Oz” Nov. 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 13 and 20 at 4 p.m. (Sunday matinees). Enjoy the live Broadway-style version with direction by Rob Juergens, music direction by Dr. Richard Nickerson and choreography by Venessa Beyland. Friday, Nov. 11: The Maine Wildlife Park in Gray will close for the 2011 season at 5 p.m. Since Friday is also Veterans Day, the park will recognize and thank all past and present Maine military personnel and veterans for their service to our country by offering free park admission for each and their immediate families on our final day of operation for 2011.

Saturday, Nov. 12: Don’t Miss the Chili/Chowder Challenge & Silent Auction at Schoolhouse Arts Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $5 for adults/$3 for children (ages 5-12). Nov. 12: Come to the Denmark Arts Center where The Mollyockett Chorus invites you to travel across the United States with them in their musical show, “Sentimental Journey.” Join them as they try to locate a missing member who leads them on a merry chase through many states and cities, invoking well-known singing favorites. Enjoy the show in a cabaret-style setting with popcorn and punch provided at the tables. The performance will be at 7 p.m. at the center located at 50 West Main St., on Route 160 in Denmark Village. Adult admission is $8 and children 12 and under are $5.

Tuesday, Nov. 15: The Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA) will offer a Medicare seminar and counseling for the Lakes Region at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 919 Roosevelt Trail, Windham. A “Welcome to Medicare” seminar is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be one-on-one counseling with volunteer Medicare advocates on the 1st and every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the Open Enrollment Period, Oct. 15-Dec. 7. Thursday, Nov. 17: Merced’s on Brandy Pond is hosting a wine tasting from 7-9 p.m. Enjoy an elegant evening featuring several varieties of fine wine to sample and savor, along with a silent auction. $25 per person. Admission includes tasting four wines, a half-hour lesson with Sam Brown on wine appreciation, and savory hors d’oeuvres prepared by Merced’s. Additional food and beverage will be available for a cost. Proceeds from this event will benefit Lake Region High School’s Project Grad 2012. Merced’s is located at 770 Roosevelt Trail in Naples. Saturday, Nov. 19: Equine Journeys, a PATH-certified center offering therapeutic riding/driving and other equine-assisted activity, holds its Fourth Annual Fall Family Fun Day at Ring Farm (551 Upper Ridge Road in Bridgton) from 12-3:30 p.m. There will be carriage rides, pony rides, hay rides, face painting, music, games, and food. While all activities will be free, donations will be gratefully accepted. FMI, 647-8475.

Nov. 19: The town of Gray will be sponsoring a Rabies and Dog Licensing Clinic at the Gray Fire-Rescue Building at 125 Shaker Road from 10 a.m. to noon. The rabies vaccination cost is $10. Pets must be under the control of their owners. Proof of previous vaccination is necessary to be effective for a three-year period or it will be considered a first-time vaccination effective for one year. Pets must be at least 12 weeks old for a rabies vaccination. Vaccinations are available for dogs and cats. Licensing fees for spayed or neutered dogs are $6 and $11 for non-neutered or spayed dogs. All dogs must be licensed by Dec. 31 annually. Pet portraits will also be offered by Tsukroff Photography for $12 with $2 donated to Caring Community and $2 donated to the Animal Refuge League.

Nov.18-Dec. 4: Schoolhouse Arts Center on Route 114 in Standish will present “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Sunday, Nov. 27: The Annual New Gloucester Tree Lighting will be held on at 4:30 p.m. at the New Gloucester Town Hall, Route 231. Highlights of the afternoon include the lighting of “Tiny Timber,” seasonal songs sung by the Gray-New Gloucester High School Chorus, Open House and refreshments at the NG Public Library and a History Barn Open House displaying the exhibit “Thanks To Those Who Served.” All are invited to attend.
