The North Deering Neighborhood Association has partnered with Town & Country Federal Credit Union to plant 700 tulips as part of Maine Cancer Foundation’s public awareness and education campaign called The Pink Tulip Project.

Volunteers recently planted the bulbs on a strip of land where Washington Avenue and Auburn Street meet by Lib’s Dairy Treats. The City of Portland provided the garden soil. This is the second garden to grace this space with the help of the Neighborhood Association and the City’s ‘Adopt a Spot’ program.
