DOVER-FOXCROFT — Authorities say the body of a woman has been recovered from the Piscataquis River in Dover-Foxcroft.
Lt. Robert Young of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department says the body was discovered behind the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce building on South Street at around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
The woman’s name has not been made public but the death is not considered suspicious.
The Bangor Daily News reports that an autopsy is scheduled and the death remains under investigation.
