BOSTON — The Boston Bruins have signed a key member of last season’s Stanley Cup-winning team to a three-year contract extension.

General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Thursday that the deal will keep center David Krejci with the team through the 2014-15 season.

Krejci, the team’s second-round pick in the 2004 draft, had 13 goals and 49 assists in 75 regular season games last season, before excelling in the playoffs with 12 goals and 11 assists as the Bruins won their first Stanley Cup since 1972.

The 25-year-old Czech Republic native has 62 goals and 165 assists in 318 career regular season games and 19 goals and 25 assists in 52 playoff games. He has four goals and nine assists this season.

The team did not announce terms of the deal.
