FALMOUTH – Megan Fortier had four goals and an assist Wednesday night to lead Falmouth to a 5-0 victory against Yarmouth in a high school girls’ hockey game at Family Ice Center.

It was the first game of the season for both teams.

Falmouth came out strong, with Fortier passing off to Gabby St. Angelo for the first goal after 3:15 of the first period.

Fortier scored her first goal of the game at 14:47, then scored again 11 seconds later on a power play.

Kirsten Mazur turned away 13 shots to preserve the shutout for the Yachtsmen.

Goalkeeper Hannah Williams compiled 43 stops for the Clippers.

LEAVITT 10, PORTLAND 6: Taylor Landing scored five goals to lead Leavitt (1-0) over the Bulldogs (1-1) at Portland.

Danica Nadeau scored 1:41 into the game for Leavitt and Landing scored 36 seconds later for a two-goal lead.

Raechel Allen scored twice in the first period for the Bulldogs, but Landing secured a hat trick before the end of the period. Kayla Royer finished with two goals for Leavitt.

BRUNSWICK 4, WINSLOW 1: Senior right wing Annie Kelly scored two goals to lead visiting Brunswick (1-1-1) over Winslow (0-2).

Jen Machin and Rachel Morony both finished with a goal and an assist for the Dragons, who outshot the Black Raiders, 47-16. Claire Mendes had 15 saves and held Winslow scoreless until the third period.
