SACO — Saco police are missing one critical piece to a robbery investigation that began earlier tonight.
Sgt. Chris Hardiman said a 21-year-old male called police at 6:30 p.m. to report that another man had punched him in the face and made off with an unknown amount of cash.
But when police went to the McDonald’s restaurant on Main Street where the robbery allegedly occurred, the victim was no where to be found.
“He won’t return our phone calls,” Hardiman said of the victim. “I’m not so sure a robbery happened.”
