PORTLAND — The underside of the Casco Bay Bridge was lit up with search lights tonight as Portland police looked for a man, who was reported to have jumped off the bridge.
Sgt. Glen McGary said the search, which began around 9:45 p.m., was called off when officers found the man. He had fallen off the sidewalk on top of the bridge.
McGary said an ambulance crew checked the man out, but he did not appear to have suffered any serious injuries.
