BRUNSWICK — The Maine Department of Transportation closed the Frank J. Wood Bridge this afternoon, which connects Brunswick to Topsham, in order to make repairs.
According to a news release from the transportation department, workers need to repairs a failed joint on the Brunswick abutment.
Message boards will guide drivers onto Route 1 and Route 196 during the closure. Officials hope to re-open the bridge Saturday morning.
