BIDDEFORD – Olivia Leroux scored three goals Wednesday night to lead York to a 6-1 victory against Biddeford in a schoolgirl hockey game at the Biddeford Ice Arena.

Carly Lee added a goal and an assist, and Julia Hird and Nicci Heroux also scored for York (4-1).

Tiffany Gagne scored and Emily Brassley made 44 saves for Biddeford (1-4).

LEAVITT-EDWARD LITTLE 5, YARMOUTH-FREEPORT 1: Taylor Lan-dry scored three goals as Leavitt-Edward Little (3-2) downed the Clippers (1-4) at Yarmouth.

Landry scored both goals in the second period and made it 4-1 with a third-period goal.

Danica Nadeau and Sidney Nadeau also scored for Leavitt-Edward Little.

Ariel Potter had a power-play goal for Yarmouth-Freeport.

FALMOUTH 1, LEWISTON 0: Megan Fortier scored with three seconds left in the second period and the Yachtsmen (5-0) went on to edge the Blue Devils (2-4-1) at Falmouth.

Fortier gained control of a wide shot by Gabby St. Angelo and sent the puck along the goal line, where it deflected off goalie Paige Fontaine’s leg into the net.

Kirsten Mazur stopped 14 shots for the shutout. Fontaine made 20 saves for Lewiston.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

CAPE ELIZABETH 1, YORK 1: Nick Breed of Cape Elizabeth (1-0-1) and Tyson Bernard of York (1-0-1) traded third-period goals at Dover, N.H.

Breed scored on a power play from Brandon Negele with 5:28 remaining in regulation. Adam Audet set up Bernard to tie it with 3:52 left.

Kirby Saari made 43 saves for the Capers, including 20 in the third period. 

ST. DOMINIC 5, WATERVILLE 1: Five players scored for the Saints (1-0) against the Purple Panthers (0-2) at Waterville.

Spencer Martin, Kyle Holtet, Danny Nadeau, Troy Haefele and Calvin Stewart scored, and Brad Berube had two assists for the Saints. Austin Christopher stopped 25 shots in net.

SCARBOROUGH 10, NOBLE 0: Jordan Bathe had three goals and two assists, and Garrett McDonald also had a hat trick as Scarborough (2-0) shut out Noble-Wells (0-2) at Rochester, N.H.

Trevor Murray chipped in a goal and two assists, and Dalton Finley made 18 saves for the shutout.

POLAND-GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 7, WESTBROOK 0: Adam Healy scored three times to lead Poland-Gray-New Gloucester (2-0) past Westbrook (0-2) at Auburn.

Nevin Rand added a goal and two assists. Kaleb Bridgham, Ethan Callier and Ryan Davala also scored.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

MADISON 54, BOOTHBAY REGION 28: The Bulldogs (2-0) used pressure defense to jump to a big lead and defeat the Seahawks (2-1) at Madison.

TUESDAY’S BOYS’ BASKETBALL

CAPE ELIZABETH 53, FREEPORT 35: Chris Robicheaw scored 21 points and Henry Babcock chipped in 11 points as the Capers (1-1) defeated the Falcons (1-1) at Freeport.

The Capers took control at the beginning of each half, outscoring the Falcons 14-5 in the first quarter and 18-5 in the third for a 46-24 lead.

Chandler Birmingham had 14 points for Freeport.
