SOUTH BERWICK – Matt Crosby scored 10 of his 21 points in the third quarter Thursday night to help Marshwood rally to a 55-52 victory against Portland in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolboy basketball game.

Marshwood (1-1) used a 22-9 run in the third quarter to erase a 27-18 halftime deficit and take a 40-36 lead.

Daniel Veino added five of his 15 points in the quarter, and Jack Verrill finished with 10 rebounds for the Hawks.

Mike Herrick and Jayvon Pitts-Young scored 15 points apiece for Portland (1-1).

CAPE ELIZABETH 63, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 38: Henry Babcock had 12 points, six assists and nine rebounds to lead the Capers (2-1) over Fryeburg Academy (0-3) at Cape Elizabeth.

Chris Robicheaw helped Cape build a 36-27 halftime lead with four 3-pointers. Rob West added 10 points for Cape Elizabeth.

Djordje Obradovic led Frye-burg with 11 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 50, TRAIP ACADEMY 49: Andrew Fleury made a free throw with 3.9 seconds remaining to lift the Seagulls (1-1) over the Rangers (1-2) at Kittery.

Old Orchard Beach opened a five-point lead with two minutes remaining, but Traip pulled even on a 3-pointer by Matt Clifford and a pair of free throws by Matt Shunk.

Anthony Langella-Laws led the Seagulls with 15 points. Fleury finished with 13.

The Rangers got 14 points from Atencio Martin.

YORK 64, POLAND 52: Aaron Todd scored eight of his 18 points in the first quarter, and York (3-0) went on to defeat the Knights (2-1) at Poland.

Kyle Robinson added 13 points for the Wildcats.

Jacob Littlefield led Poland with 17 points. Logan Nichols added 10.

WAYNFLETE 41, LAKE REGION 40: Max Belleau scored 18 points to lead Waynflete (3-0) past Lake Region (0-3) at Naples.

After the Flyers trailed 30-27 through three quarters, Belleau hit a tying 3-pointer with one minute to play and Chris Burke added a go-ahead basket.

Mike Triglione scored 14 points, Alexander Hartford had 12, and Alex Hall added 13 rebounds for the Lakers.

SACOPEE VALLEY 39, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 19: Jeff Taylor scored 15 points and Tommy Ray added 10 for the Hawks (1-2), who took a 13-6 first-quarter lead and continued to pull away from the Panthers (0-2) at South Hiram.

YARMOUTH 57, WELLS 33: Josh Britten had 13 points and Chris Knaub hauled in 12 rebounds as the Clippers (3-0) beat Wells (0-3) at Yarmouth.

Dylan Stevens scored 16 points for the Warriors.

FOREST HILLS 71, PINE TREE ACADEMY 30: Derek Ouellette had 10 points and 12 rebounds as Forest Hills (2-1) beat Pine Tree Academy (0-2) at Jackman.

Zach Wilday scored 10 points for Pine Tree.

GORHAM 5, PORTLAND 1: Chris Hardy scored a hat trick to lead Gorham (2-1) over the Bulldogs (0-3) at Portland.

Spence Cowand added two goals — both short-handed — and two assists.

BONNY EAGLE 4, SOUTH PORTLAND 3: Josh Bagley scored in overtime — his second goal of the game — to lift Bonny Eagle (1-1) over South Portland (0-3) at Portland.

Shayne Plummer and Jason Harmon also scored for the Scots.

MHW 6, BRUNSWICK 3: Dan Condon had two goals and an assist as the Hawks (1-2) beat the Dragons (0-2) at Brunswick.

GREELY 10, WINSLOW 1: Andrew Hackett and Pete Stauber each scored twice as Greely (1-0) handled Winslow (0-2) at Falmouth.

Stauber and Jordan Tarbox scored in the first minute, and Reid Howland added an unassisted power-play goal at 5:39 to give the Rangers a 3-0 lead.

BIDDEFORD 4, CHEVERUS 1: Nik Lemieux had two goals and an assist to lead the Tigers (2-1) past the Stags (1-1) at Portland.

Mario Lemieux added a goal and an assist, and Corey Brown had two assists. Taylor Reuillard chipped in an empty-net goal for Biddeford.
