SACO — A Biddeford man has been arrested and another summonsed in connection with the case of gift cards stolen from Most Holy Trinity Church.
James W. Haines, 53, was arrested Wednesday by Saco police with the assistance of Biddeford detectives. Haines was charged with theft and is being held at the York County Jail.
Duane W. Dennison, 50, was summonsed Wednesday for alleged use of stolen gift cards at a Hannaford supermarket in Biddeford.
The theft of about $200 worth of gift cards from the church was reported Dec. 13. Saco police are working with the York County Sheriff’s Office but it’s not yet clear whether the theft from Most Holy Trinity Church is related to one from St. Philip Church in Lyman.
