BRUNSWICK — Arthur L. “Snuffy” St. Pierre, age 99 of Dunlap St., passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Freeport Nursing Home. He was born December 17, 1912 in Brunswick the son of Dosithee and Phelonise Theberge St. Pierre.

He attended St. John’s School in Brunswick and served the U.S. Army during World War II. On October 14, 1950 he married Regina Bouchard. She passed away on March 10, 2007.

Arthur worked for 38 years as a grinder man at Pejepscot Paper Mill retiring in 1977. In the 1960′ s and 1970′ s he worked for Stetson’s Funeral Home Ambulance Service, beginning the first of three generations of his family in the EMS field.

He was a member of St. John’s Church- All Saints Parish, Holy Name Society, and the American Legion George T. Files Post.

He is survived by a son Rev. Raymond L. St. Pierre and his wife Fay of Brunswick, a daughter Sister Anne Marie St. Pierre of Dorchester, MA, 3 grandsons Brent St. Pierre of Brunswick, Matthew St. Pierre of Richmond and Tom St. Pierre of Topsham, and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by 10 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visiting hours will be held from 6- 8PM, Wednesday, December 28th at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday, December 29th at St. John’s the Baptist Church- All Saints Parish, Pleasant St., Brunswick with the Rev. John Granato officiating. Burial in the spring with military honors will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
