PORTLAND — Marshall Brunelle and Alex Kurtz each scored twice Monday to give Yarmouth a 5-3 boys’ hockey win over Portland at the Portland Ice Arena.

The Bulldogs( 0-6) came back to tie in the second and third periods, but Kurtz scored the go-ahead goal at 8:31 of the third for the Clippers (2-1-1).

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

BIDDEFORD 1, CAPE ELIZABETH-WAYNFLETE 1: Biddeford goalie Emily Brassley made 36 stops as the Tigers (2-6-1) held Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (2-6-1) to a tie at the Portland Ice Arena.

The Tigers scored an unassisted goal 3:28 into the game, but Gretchen Stevens tied it at 3:09 of the second.

BRUNSWICK 5, YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 2: Anne Kelly had two goals and three assists as Brunswick (7-1-1) topped Yarmouth/Freeport (2-7) at Watson Arena in Brunswick.

Suzanne Driscoll scored both Yarmouth goals.

YORK 1, CHEVERUS 0: Julieann Figioli scored with 28 seconds left in the second period as York (7-2) topped host Cheverus (3-5).

Cheverus goaltender Allie Spinney made 33 saves, and York’s Olivia Drew needed just seven stops for the shutout.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 59, BOOTHBAY REGION 52: Ayla Allen scored 21 points to lead Mountain Valley (6-2)  over Boothbay Region (3-4) at Boothbay.
Sarah Caron led Boothbay with 13 points.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

WISCASSET 66, MT. ABRAM 48: Jason Weatherbee’s 21 points led Wiscasset (2-4) in a win over Mt. Abram (3-4) at Salem Township.
