‘Drinking Made Easy’ visits Portland spots
A number of Portland bars and breweries were featured in last week’s episode of “Drinking Made Easy,” which airs on HDNet. The show features comedian Zane Lamprey and his friend Steve McKenna sampling drinks, mixing cocktails and cracking jokes at watering holes around the country.
The Portland episode visited Grace Restaurant, Sonny’s, Vignola, The Great Lost Bear, Allagash Brewing Company and the Urban Farm Fermentory. Clips from the show can be viewed at http://drinkingmadeeasy.com.

Business conference for farmers and fishermen
Farmers and fishermen interested in learning more about the cooperative business model are invited to attend “By Land and By Sea: Leveraging Co-ops for Business Success.” The all-day conference takes place Jan. 19 at the Common Ground Education Center in Unity.
Sessions will cover the challenges and advantages of co-ops, how to obtain financing and best practices for marketing and branding.
