BRUNSWICK — Nancy Jane Sullivan, 71, of Pejepscot Terrace where she resided happily for several years died January 1, 2012 with her family by her side.

She was born in Waltham, MA on October 30, 1940, a daughter of Richard J. Sr. and Nancy E. ( Simms) Carr.

Nancy attended Tewksbury, MA Schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School. She moved to Maine in 1972 residing in Topsham and Brunswick. Nancy, Mum, Grammie and Nana as she was known, was dedicated to her family and those around her. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild, attending sporting events, activities and camping with her family and friends were her most enjoyable times. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, community suppers and visiting casinos with her sisters and brothers. She always extended herself, her heart and her home to anyone who was in need of a place to feel welcome.

She was a member of St. John The Baptist Church in Brunswick.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine A. Sullivan of Brunswick and Maureen Loveitt and her husband Harold of Bath, one son, Sean Sullivan and his wife Caroline of Topsham, five grandchildren, Dillon and Teague Smith, Kristin and Patrick Sullivan and Melody Gorrell, one great granddaughter, Ava Marie House, five brothers, Richard Carr, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Tewksbury, MA, Charles Carr and his wife Della of Naples, FL, Kevin Carr and his wife Valerie of Lancaster, TX, James Carr and his wife Julie of Epping, NH and Thomas Carr and his wife Shirley of FL, one sister, Mary Lynne Kennedy and her husband Jeff of Largo, FL, many nieces and nephews, her little dog, Peanut and friends in Pejepscot Terrace, in the local area and Bingo community.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents Richard and Nancy Carr, a grandson, Joel Gorrell and two sisters, Maureen McCready and Linda Curtis.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick. A gathering and celebration of family and friends will follow at 11:30 AM at the Pejepscot Terrace Community Building in Brunswick.
