EASTPORT (AP) — Senate President Kevin Raye says he’s going to seek a rematch with Democratic incumbent Rep. Michael Michaud in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.
Raye, a Republican from Perry, filed the necessary paperwork Thursday and announced that he intends to encourage job creation, stop runaway spending and prioritize expenditures “in a way that protects national security and cares for the truly needy.”
Raye, co-owner of Raye’s Mustard Mill in Eastport, is serving a fourth term in the Maine Senate.
