PORTLAND — Two Oxford County teenagers were killed and a third critically hurt in a single-car crash in West Paris early Saturday morning.

Logan Dam, 19, of Norway and Rebecca Mason, 16, of West Paris died in the crash. Both were passengers in a Suburu sedan driven by Kristina Lowe, 18, of West Paris.

Lowe is in critical condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland. A third passenger, Jacob Skaff, 22, is being treated for serious injuries at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.

Maine State Trooper Tom Welch said the car was traveling east on Route 219 around 12:15 a.m. when it drifted from the road and crashed into some trees.

Welch said it is not clear whether the four were wearing seat belts. He said alcohol and distracted driving may have played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
