GORHAM — Hyde School’s indoor track program competed in its first meet of the season on Friday at the University of Southern Maine. Hyde is a member of the Western Maine Conference Indoor Track League.

Theboys4x800- meter relay team of Cody Mitchell, Griffin Palola- Harriman, Alexi Philippoussis and Isaac Pfosi started things off by winning the event in 9:40.41.

Also earning scoring honors in this huge meet were Dexie Cercos in the 55 hurdles (sixth place, 10.76) and Mady Preece in the 400 (fifth, 1:10.89, a personal best). Cercos also long jumped for the first-ever time finishing 10th out of 37 competitors with a jump of 13-03.

Cercos also finished 10th out of 32 competitors in the 200 (30.69) and Erika Corley was 10th in the mile (7:18.34).
