BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Downtown Association will hold its annual meeting titled “Back to Business: Successful Strategies for the New Year” on Jan. 19 at the Daggett Lounge on Bowdoin College’s campus.

The public is invited to attend.

According to a news release, the BDA will present its Volunteer and Member of the Year awards, and provide its 2011-12 State of the Association report and an overview of its 2012 plans.

Deb Neuman, deputy commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, will speak about practices for small business success and strong downtowns. She is a former small business owner and director of the Target Technology Incubator at the University of Maine in Orono. As the current host of the award-winning “Back to Business” radio show, she has appeared on TV and radio programs from Maine to Spain to offer business advice and insight.

Breakfast service will begin at 7:30 a.m. The meeting will start at 7:45 and end at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required. The cost for the breakfast is $12 per person.
