BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School class of 2014 is collecting used cellphones through March 31.

The class invites the public to donate unwanted cellphones in bags placed at various locations around town, including Maine Running Shoe, Curtis Memorial Library and Big Top Deli.

The sophomores will collect used cellphones, which will be recycled. The purchase price will used to benefit their senior events.

“ Not only will this drive benefit the sophomore class but will also prevent harmful toxins from ending up in the landfill,” Jean Libby, adviser of the sophomore class, said in a release.

The cellphone drive is a collaboration with Pace Butler Corp. of Oklahoma City..
