BRUNSWICK — In addition to opening shellfish grounds on Sundays, setting a public hearing on tax increment financing districts at the Brunswick Executive Airport and Brunswick Landing and postponing a decision on zoning changes for municipal buildings, the Brunswick Town Council on Jan. 17 voted unanimously to:

— Proclaim April as “Brunswick Poetry Month” and the last April in Thursday as “Poem in Your Pocket Day.”

— Set a Feb. 6 public hearing on a proposed increase to the allowable number of Maine Department of Transportation business directional signs from two to four.

— Approve sending a letter of intent to apply for a $200,000 Community Development Block Grant on behalf of Integrated Marine Systems Inc.

— Authorize the town treasurer to waive foreclosure on certain properties.

— Appoint councilors to various town committees.

— Advise the Planning Board to consider adding warehousing and storage uses to the list of permitted uses within the town’s industrial zones.
