BRUNSWICK — Robert and Janis Chapman are excited to announce the engagement of their daughter, Maya Elizabeth Chapman, to Ian Doumas, son of Sharon Doumas of Raymond, N.H., and Steve Doumas of Merrimack, N.H.

Chapman attended the Mechanic Falls school system and graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn. In 2005, she graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a B.A. in social work and in 2011 with a B.A. in piano pedagogy. She teaches piano (specializing in special needs students) and works in special education at Gray-New Gloucester Middle School.

Doumas graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s in economics, and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sports management at Southern New Hampshire University. Doumas is employed at Valhalla Golf Course in Cumberland.

They live in Portland.
