WISCASSET — As a benefit for the Morris Farm Trust, chef Mikael Andersson will prepare and serve dinner for the “Winter’s Moon Celebration” at 6 p. m. Feb. 6 at Le Garage, 15 Water St.

All proceeds from this local foods meal will benefit the Morris Farm Trust of Wiscasset.

The menu will feature a variety of foods from the Midcoast region’s small- scale farmers and fishermen, including a roasted butternut squash soup slow simmered in local apple cider and maple syrup and fresh cut greenhouse greens tossed with sundried Maine blueberries, Backyard Beauty tomatoes, shaved Hahn’s end cheese and fresh basil vinaigrette.

Entrees will include baked local haddock topped with dill creamed Maine shrimp; herbmarinated grilled chicken breast served with apple smoked bacon, sautéed local mushrooms; and garlic brushed grilled beef with sides of Béarnaise sauce and horseradish cream.

Sour cream mashed potato, herbed wild rice and sautéed vegetables also be offered. For dessert, Andersson will serve wild Maine blueberry pie topped with sweet whipped cream.

Maine wine and beer will be offered.

Diners can watch the moon rising over the Sheepscot River from the dining room, according to a Morris Farm Trust release.

As an additional treat, dinner will be accompanied by the magical notes of Suki Flanagan playing the harp.

Tickets for the buffet-style dinner cost $50 each. Tickets are available for sale online or by visiting the Morris Farm.

The Morris Farm Trust is a nonprofit educational farm that “promotes the values of sustainable agriculture and stewardship of the earth through demonstration, education and community involvement,” according to the release.

The farm, 156 Gardiner Road, and its trails are open to the public from sunrise to sunset seven days a week.
