WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine say someone broke two windows at the home where a toddler was reported missing seven weeks ago.

Waterville police said Saturday that the girl’s grandmother called police late Friday night to report that someone was throwing things at her home.

When police arrived, they found two broken windows. Police say they found no rocks or other objects, so they believe the windows were broken by a bat or something else that was carried away.

Twenty-month-old Ayla Reynolds was reported missing from the home Dec. 17. Her father and grandmother live there. Police are calling her disappearance a crime and have said the two adults and a third person in the home that night haven’t been totally forthcoming.
