ORONO — Bank of America says it will close its call center in Orono this fall.

WABI-TV says the center’s approximately 200 employees were told today that their last day will be Oct. 31.

A company spokesman says the banking company will do everything it can to support the employees and those who are eligible will get severance packages.

Bank of America has other call centers in Belfast and Brunswick.
