TERRA LINDA, CA — Russell C. Watts, 64 passed away peacefully on February 26, 2012 in Terra Linda, CA, surrounded by many of his friends and family who cared deeply for him.

He was born in Bath on April 14, 1947 a son of Phyllis D. Bisbee Watts Boyd and Francis Walter Watts. For many years he lived in San Francisco, Venice Beach, and Sausalito, CA.

He is now survived by his daughter Amy Simkins of San Francisco, CA; brother David E. Watts of Seffner, FL; nephew Stephen F. Watts of West Bath; and niece Kathy E. Watts of Bath.

Russell had many accomplishments in his lifetime. He attended Morse High School. As part of the class of 1965 he kept in close contact with many of his classmates and came back to Maine for many reunions. He was a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. He also served in the U. S. Navy from 1968- 72, as part of the Naval Security Group during the Vietnam War.

In the 1980’s he became a Private Investigator and worked with the Melvin Belli law offices. One of his greatest accomplishments was investigating in Lockerbie Scotland Pan Am Plane Crash and helping the people negotiate settlements. One of his biggest passions was acting. He developed his acting career through a San Francisco Acting Group. He performed in many commercials and movies. One of his most popular films was “ Clown House” as seen on HBO and available on DVD.

Russell will be buried with his mother in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath. A Celebration of Life will be held in his memory on March 7, 2012 at Caffe DiVino in Sausalito, CA.
