The owners of the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide are bringing summer baseball back to The Ballpark.

The Raging Tide, who competed in the New England Collegiate Baseball League last summer, have joined the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England, a nine-team league with representatives from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The team, owned by John and Pam Gallo, left the NECBL after just one season, finishing with a league-worst 9-33 record and averaging 455 fans per game.

The Raging Tide will play a 54-game schedule, beginning June 7 at The Ballpark against another former NECBL team, the North Shore Navigators of Lynn, Mass.

The league’s other teams are the Brockton (Mass.) Rox, the Martha’s Vineyard (Mass.) Sharks, the Nashua (N.H.) Silver Knights, the Pittsfield (Mass.) Suns, the Seacoast Mavericks of Rochester, N.H., the Torrington (Conn.) Titans and Wachsett Dirt Dawgs of Leominster, Mass.

Season tickets are on sale at a discounted rate through May 11. Single-game tickets, which range from $3 to $5, can be purchased at the park’s box office on the day of games.
