ORONO — Chancellor Richard Pattenaude is attending his last University of Maine System trustees meeting as leader of the seven-university system.

Today’s meeting at the flagship university’s campus in Orono will feature votes on new academic programs to meet work force demands as well as a new bachelor’s degree in tourism and hospitality.

Trustees will also consider tenure applications and a collective bargaining agreement.

Pattenaude, who has served since 2007, is retiring. Trustees last month approved his replacement, James Page, who’s CEO of James W. Sewall Co. in Old Town.
