BRUNSWICK — A 46-year-old Brunswick man was charged with elevated aggravated assault Monday night after police say he stabbed his roommate in the neck with a pair of scissors.

Roger Walker, 46, of 101 Merrymeeting Road, remains in Cumberland County Jail today in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Brunswick police officers responded to the home just before 9:30 p.m. Monday after a witness reported that Walker had allegedly stabbed 43-year-old David Grant, also of 101 Merrymeeting Road, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said today.

Grant was taken by Brunswick rescue workers to Maine Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition this morning.

Walker had left the building when police arrived, but Sgt. Paul Hansen located him nearby at the former Jordan Acres Elementary School building and arrested him without incident, Hagan said.
