OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Maine State Police have made an arrest in the stabbing death of an Old Orchard Beach man whose body was found behind a tavern Saturday morning.
Police arrested Michael Swenson, 44, who lives in a lean-to along railroad tracks in Old Orchard Beach. He was was arrested at his mother’s house in Scarborough this afternoon.
Swenson is charged with stabbing to death Roger White, 49, on Friday night. The two were friends, according to police. Police say an autopsy showed White died of stab wounds to his neck and chest.
Swenson is expected to make an initial appearance in York County Superior Court Wednesday or Thursday morning, police said.
