SANFORD – Courtney Burns singled home Patty Smith and Valencia Jordan in the top of the ninth inning to give Gorham a 3-1 win over Sanford in softball on Wednesday.

Taylor Hansen allowed seven hits, walked none and struck out six for the Rams (2-3). Samantha Adams gave up seven hits, walked two and fanned 11 for the Redskins (4-3).

Emily Deluca’s RBI single gave Gorham a lead in the third. Adams tied it with an RBI single in the sixth.

KENNEBUNK 1, WESTBROOK 0: Hannah King struck out 11 in a one-hitter and Janelle Bouchard drove in Meg Cadigan in the first inning to give the Rams (5-0) the edge over the Blue Blazes (3-3) at Kennebunk.

Kayla Tibbetts threw a one-hitter for Westbrook.

NOBLE 6, BONNY EAGLE 4: Amber Kelly hit two home runs and was the winning pitcher for the Knights (5-1) against the visiting Scots (0-5) at North Berwick.

Kelly hit a three-run homer in the first and a two-run shot in the third.

She struck out six, walked three and allowed six hits.

Lindsey Howell had two hits, including a two-run double in the sixth when the Scots scored four. Mariah Harrison had an RBI double in the rally.

WINDHAM 5, MARSHWOOD 3: The visiting Eagles (2-4) broke a 5-5 tie with two runs in the seventh against the Hawks (3-3) at South Berwick.

Logan Genest hit an RBI double and Julia LoSciuto hit an RBI single in the seventh.

Nicole O’Neil hit a two-run homer in the first for Marshwood.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 9, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Sarah Harriman struck out six in a one-hitter to lead the Raiders (5-1) past the Hawks (3-2) at Fryeburg.

GRAY NEW-GLOUCESTER 4, FALMOUTH 0: Maggie Chaplin tossed a two-hitter and hit a two-run double in the third to lead the Patriots (4-0) past the Yachtsmen (1-3) at Gray.

Chaplin struck out three and walked none.

MCAULEY 6, BIDDEFORD 3: Molly Mack singled home Sam Libby and scored on a passed ball as the Lions (3-3) scored three times in the fifth inning to take a three-run lead over Biddeford (2-5) in Portland.

Taylor Whaley also stole home during the decisive rally.

Mack and Whaley each finished with two hits and two runs scored. Katelyn Lebreux led the Tigers with two hits and scored all three of Biddeford’s runs.

PORTLAND 9, DEERING 4: Leanne Reichert was 4 for 4 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI to lead Portland (1-5) at Deering (0-6).

Cassandra Kennie pitched a five-hitter for the win.

Nicole Mason was 3 for 3 and scored two runs for the Rams.

POLAND 10, YARMOUTH 6: Brittina Maheux ripped a two-run single as Poland (5-2) pulled away from a 2-2 tie with three runs during the third inning in Yarmouth. The Knights widened the lead to 10-4 over the Clippers (2-4) with a four-run seventh highlighted by Kelsey Deburra’s two-run single.

GREELY 7, WELLS 1: Danielle Cimino threw a four-hitter with seven strikeouts, and had a home run and two RBI to lead Greely (4-1) at Wells (2-4).

WELLS 20, NOBLE 6: Kelly Beisswanger had five goals and three assists to lead the Warriors (3-1) past the Knights (0-4) at Wells.

Maddie Andrews added three goals, and Jasmine Loukola had two goals and five assists.

Marissa Goodrich and Chandler Waterman had three goals apiece for Noble.

KENNEBUNK 12, WESTBROOK 2: Allie Bush’s four goals topped Kennebunk (2-1) during a win over the Blue Blazes (1-3) in Westbrook.

GORHAM 16, SANFORD 7: Haley Perkins and Meghan Cushing each scored three goals, leading Gorham (3-1) past the Redskins (0-4) in Sanford.

CAPE ELIZABETH 16, YORK 8: Talley Perkins scored five goals for Cape Elizabeth (4-0), which pulled away in the second half at York (1-3).

CHEVERUS 10, PORTLAND 3: Meredith Willard scored four goals to pace Cheverus (3-1) against visiting Portland (2-2).
