WATERVILLE — Fourteen year-old Julia Bluhm has delivered her petitions asking Seventeen magazine to stop airbrushing away imperfections from its models, at least every once in a while.

Bluhm delivered more than 25,000 petition signatures to the magazine’s editor-in-chief on Wednesday in New York. Her group also held a mock photo shot outside the magazine’s building.

Bluhm wants one photo spread per month showing teens without computer alterations to touch up imperfections.

Bluhm, who launched her campaign on change.org, says teens need to see models without computer alterations to understand they’re not perfect, just like the magazine’s readers.
