SOUTH BERWICK – Matt Brenner had three hits and drove in two runs Thursday to lead Marshwood to an 8-2 victory against Westbrook in a Telegram League baseball game.

Troy Pappas added two hits and two RBI for the Hawks (5-1) against the Blue Blazes (5-1).

Luke Fernandes of Marshwood pitched six innings, allowing two unearned runs on eight hits, striking out 11.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, YORK 0: Will LeBlond scattered eight hits in a shutout as the Capers (3-3) beat York (1-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

LeBlond struck out four and walked two.

Chad Peterson drove in the first run on a fielder’s choice in the sixth inning and Jim Brigham followed with a sacrifice fly.

Zach Leal of York surrendered eight hits, struck out four and hit a batter.

PORTLAND 6, GORHAM 1: Nate Smart struck out 10, and allowed eight hits and two walks to lead Portland (1-5) over the Rams (3-2) at Gorham.

Joe Apon’s single gave the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning.

The Rams loaded the bases with one out in the sixth, but Smart struck out the next two. Portland added four in the seventh, keyed by RBI singles from Kyle Reichert, Caleb Faser and Smart.

Elliot Speirs allowed two runs in six innings for Gorham.

BIDDEFORD 3, MASSABESIC 0: Patrick Wilson struck out 11, and held the Mustangs (2-4) to six hits and three walks to lead the Tigers (3-3) at Waterboro.

Brady Fleurent had two hits and two RBI for Biddeford. Matt McGuirk scored twice.

BONNY EAGLE 10, NOBLE 1: Evan Amell had three hits and five RBI to lead Bonny Eagle (3-2) over Noble (2-3) at North Berwick.

Amell brought in three runs in the sixth inning with a base-clearing double for a 9-1 lead.

Tom Hazelton of the Scots pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks.

SANFORD 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Shawn Smith drew a 3-and-2 walk with the bases loaded in the ninth inning to drive in the winning run as the Redskins (3-3) beat South Portland (1-4) at Sanford.

Tyler Flayhan scored after leading off the ninth with a double. Flayhan also had an RBI single in the fourth to make it 1-1. Ethan Gouin’s single in the fifth made it 2-2.

Ryan Camire of Sanford pitched eight innings, giving up five hits and one walk with four strikeouts. Aaron Rivard pitched the ninth to get the win, allowing no hits and striking out one.

SCARBOROUGH 11, KENNEBUNK 0: Nick Bagley drove in four runs to lead the Red Storm (5-1) to a five-inning victory against Kennebunk (0-6) at Scarborough.

Greg Viola added two RBI. Ben Wessel struck out 10, walked four and allowed one hit.

CHEVERUS 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Louie DiStasio pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks, had three hits and scored twice to lead the Stags (5-1) past the Golden Trojans (2-3) at Saco.

Drew Ferrick singled DiStasio home with the go-ahead run in the sixth. He also drove in the first run with a fielder’s choice in the first.

Steve Harmon doubled and scored on a Jack Kenney sacrifice fly for Thornton in the fourth.

Dillon Dunbar threw a seven-hitter for the Trojans.

YARMOUTH 15, POLAND 4: Bryce Snyder drove in three runs on a pair of singles for the Clippers (4-2) in a five-inning victory against Poland (2-4) at Yarmouth.

Nick Lainey hit an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth that gave the Clippers a 10-run lead for the victory. Yarmouth scored nine runs in that inning, starting with a two-run single by Snyder.

Chester Jacobs got the win, giving up three hits, striking out two and walking one.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 10, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 2: Micah Williamson had two singles and three RBI as the Panthers (3-2-1) beat the Huskies (0-6) at Waldoboro.

Ryan Ripley added two singles and two RBI for Medomak.

Mason Lasalle had a double for MCI.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 6, LEWISTON 1: Tom Grady pitched a three-hitter as the Eagles (4-2) beat Lewiston (4-2) at South China.

Grady, who missed time with a broken finger, struck out five and walked five. John Suga and Shyler Scates had RBI doubles in the first inning as Erskine scored three times.

Lewiston scored in the second when Eddie Emerson singled to drive in Shawn Ricker.

LACROSSE

BRUNSWICK 18, CONY 0: Cameron Glover had three goals and four assists, and Seth Holmblad also scored three times to lead the Dragons (5-0) past the Rams (1-4) at Augusta.

Nick Mrvchin and Alex Croatti each chipped in two goals and an assist.
