WATERVILLE — Maine Gov. Paul LePage is delivering the commencement speech at Thomas College in Waterville.
The school’s 118th commencement is taking place Saturday afternoon at the school’s Harold Alfond Athletic Center.
LePage will also be awarded an honorary doctorate in business administration.
Meanwhile, U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe is delivering what will likely be her final commencement address Saturday.
Snowe is giving her speech Saturday at the University of Southern Maine’s graduation ceremony in Portland.
Elsewhere, commencements are scheduled at other University of Maine campuses in Farmington, Augusta, Machias, Presque Isle and Fort Kent. The state’s flagship university, in Orono, held its graduation ceremonies last weekend.
Snowe is not seeking re-election in November’s election after serving in the Senate for 18 years.
