PORTLAND – Greg Lodge scored three goals and Parker Roma added two Saturday to lead Thornton Academy to a 10-5 victory against Waynflete in a schoolboy lacrosse game.

Henry Cleaves scored twice for Waynflete (2-5) against the Trojans (7-1).

MASSABESIC 10, YORK 5: Jake Desrochers finished with six goals and Stephen Chaves scored twice to lead the Mustangs (2-6) over the Wildcats (4-5) at Waterboro.

Billy Hayes and Brandon Colby also scored for Massabesic.

FALMOUTH 18, DEERING 0: Mitch Tapley finished with six goals and two assists, and Charlie Fay added four goals and two assists to lead the Yachtsmen (7-1) against the Rams (5-3) at Falmouth.

T.J. Gilbert chipped in with three goals and one assist for Falmouth, which led 13-0 at halftime.

YARMOUTH 9, PORTLAND 5: Ian Edgecomb scored four goals and Max Watson added two as the Clippers (5-2) defeated Portland (3-6) at Yarmouth.

BIDDEFORD 9, LAKE REGION 6: Clint Maloy scored three goals and Josh Foss added two to lead the Tigers (1-6) past the Lakers (1-8) at Naples.

T.J. Leach led Lake Region with three goals. Ryan Chute finished with two goals and an assist.

GARDINER 9, LINCOLN ACADEMY 2: Tyler Jamison had two goals and an assist to lead the Tigers (8-0) over the Eagles (2-4) at Newcastle.

Justin Lovely, Nick Clements, Josh Caldwell, Cody St. Amand and Austin Moore each added goals, and Keegan Smith recorded four assists for Gardiner. Jonathan Riley and Ryan Peters scored for Lincoln.

Cody Hickey made five saves for the Tigers. Martin Shott had seven stops for Lincoln.

MARANACOOK 16, CAMDEN HILLS 4: Zach Glazier had four goals and an assist to lead Maranacook (4-1) over the Windjammers (3-4).

Dan Condon and Gabe Giguere added three goals and an assist each, and Toby Smith had two goals and two assists for Maranacook. Logan Emery chipped in with two goals, and Jesse Evans had a goal and two assists. Kyle Evans rounded out the scoring with a goal. Zach Glazier made 10 saves.

Will Clapp had two goals for Camden Hills.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 16, GORHAM 3: T.J. Daigler finished with four goals and two assists, and Oliver Silverson added three goals and three assists as the Panthers (3-4) downed the Rams (3-6) at Gorham.

Jim Talbot scored twice for Gorham.


BIDDEFORD 4, SANFORD 1: Bobby Cote scored on a single by Taylor Reuillard to spark a three-run seventh inning as the Tigers (5-4) pulled away at Sanford (3-6).

Cote also earned the win, striking out six and walking three in a five-hitter.

YARMOUTH 14, CAPE ELIZABETH 3: Bryce Snyder knocked home five runs on four hits to pace Yarmouth (6-3) over the Capers (5-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Eamon Costello also had four hits and Caleb Uhl three for Yarmouth.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 16, SACOPEE VALLEY 5: Jim Strohm went 3 for 3 with a walk and an RBI for the Seagulls (3-6), who broke the game open with an eight-run third inning and beat the Hawks (2-7) in five at Old Orchard Beach.

Josh Bonney went 2 for 2 with a stolen base in his varsity debut for Old Orchard.

FALMOUTH 5, FREEPORT 4: Nicky Spencer singled home the tying run in the seventh inning and the winning run in the ninth as the Yachtsmen (8-0) beat Freeport (7-3) at Falmouth.

Grayson Beressi scored the winning run when the Falcons couldn’t make a play on Spencer’s bases-loaded roller down the third-base line.

Spencer singled home Shamus Powers for the 4-4 tie in the seventh.

SOUTH PORTLAND 3, GORHAM 2: Matt DiBiase singled home Nick Whitten and Jordan Muller in the third inning to give South Portland (2-6) a 3-0 lead against the Rams (3-6) at Gorham.

Whitten finished with three hits and DiBiase two for the Red Riots.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, MASSABESIC 4: Jeff Gelinas singled home Alex Fallon and came around on Dillon Dunbar’s double to the right-center gap, giving the Trojans a 5-4 lead against Massabesic (2-6) in the sixth inning at Saco.

CARRABEC 13, BOOTHBAY REGION 3: Nick Bowman, John Layma and Will Crawford each drove in two runs as the Cobras (1-7) beat the Seahawks (0-7).

WISCASSET 9, MADISON 2: The Wolverines (6-4) scored four runs in the second inning to beat Madison (5-5) at Wiscasset.

WINDHAM 10, WESTBROOK 2: Ryan Whiting singled home Calvin Field in the sixth inning to end the game as the Eagles (6-2) beat Westbrook (7-2) at Windham.

Matt McLean hit a two-run homer for Windham.
