WATERVILLE — Authorities in Maine are holding a news conference to provide an update into the investigation of a toddler who’s been missing since December.

A spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety says the briefing on Ayla Reynolds will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Waterville.

He did not provide additional details.

Ayla was 20 months old when she was reported missing on Dec. 17 from her father’s home. Justin DiPietro says he thinks his daughter was abducted but police are calling the disappearance a crime.

State police confirmed Ayla’s blood was found in the home, and said that the three adults in the house on the night Ayla went missing know more than they’re telling police. There have been no arrests.
