PORTLAND — Traffic is flowing again on Interstate 295 after a morning crash shut down northbound travel lanes in Portland.
A tractor-trailer and a car collided in an area under construction near the Congress Street overpass at about 9:30 a.m., according to Maine State Police. There were no reports of injuries,
While emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage, northbound motorists were detoured at Exit 4 in South Portland to Route 1 over the Veterans Memorial Bridge.
The I-295 lanes were reopened around noon.
