Jeff Kline of Cape Elizabeth won a Daytime Emmy Award Sunday night for his work on the computer-generated animated series “Transformers: Prime” on The Hub cable network.
Kline is an executive producer of the show, which won the award for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program at the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

The 39th Daytime Emmy Awards, focusing on performances, will be broadcast on the HLN cable network on June 23, and the Creative Arts awards will be mentioned.
“Transformers: Prime” also won an award in the category of Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for Christophe Vacher, the show’s supervising color designer.
Kline, 46, splits his time between Los Angeles and Cape Elizabeth. Kline’s resume in animated and children’s TV includes “G.I. Joe: Renegades,” “My Friends Tigger and Pooh,” “Jackie Chan Adventures,” “Men In Black: The Animated Series,” “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” and the long-running PBS series “Dragon Tales.”
