BRUNSWICK

Two Woolwich men were arrested Friday morning after police from two local law enforcement agencies raided an apartment in Brunswick in search of suspects involved in a string of burglaries in Sagadahoc County.

According to a press release issued by the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Office, police arrested John David Quinn, 36, of 105 Trott Road, Woolwich, and Thomas E. LaRose, 32, of 67 Hedgebridge Road, Woolwich, at around 10:19 a.m. Friday after officers from the sheriff ’s department and Brunswick Police Department raided a motel room at 287 Bath Road in Brunswick.

“A significant amount of stolen property was seized, along with drug paraphernalia. Among the items recovered are computers, computer tablets, cameras, an X-Box, jewelry, watches, valuable coins, luggage and chain saws,” the release states.

More than $10,000 worth of property had been recovered as of approximately 3 p.m. Friday, when the sheriff‘s office released news of the arrests. Investigators continue to compile a full inventory of items recovered, according to the release.

Investigators charged Quinn and LaRose with three counts of burglary, and further charges are expected. Additionally, Quinn was charged with violation of conditions of release and LaRose was charged on a probation violation.

Police took both men to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on Friday afternoon.
