WESTBROOK — Motorists are being encouraged to avoid using County Road in Westbrook tonight as crews will be working into the evening on reparing a water main break.
Michelle Clements, spokeswoman for the Portland Water District, said the water main break took place around 3:30 p.m. today near Ledgeview Drive.
Westbrook police said that section of the County Road, in the vicinity of Smiling Hill Farm, remains passable, but Clements said motorists should expect to encounter delays.
Clements said repair crews are expected to be on the scene late into the evening.
