RUMFORD — Authorities say a man and two children were taken to the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation during a fire at a Rumford apartment building.

The fire was reported at about midnight this morning.

There was no additional information on the ages of the victims or their conditions.

The fire chief tells WMTW-TV that several tenants have been displaced.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army are on the scene to help those displaced.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
