KENNEBUNK – Taylor Landry struck out six in a perfect game Saturday as Kennebunk beat Staples Crossing 8-0 in the second game of an American Legion baseball doubleheader.

Staples Crossing won the opener, 5-2.

Ned Richards and Colby Donovan each drove in two runs for Kennebunk (7-5) in the second game.

Kyle Markham pitched a four-hitter, and Conor McFarland and Ryan Lemire each had two hits in the opener for Staples Crossing (4-8). Richards homered for Kennebunk.

SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS OF BIDDEFORD SWEEPS SACO BAY PHYSICAL THERAPY: Matt Cote singled in two runs in the second inning and another in the third as Saco & Biddeford Savings (9-3) opened an early 5-0 lead en route to a 5-1 victory over Saco Bay PT (6-6) in the first game of a doubleheader at Biddeford.

Patrick Wilson drove home three runs with a pair of first-inning singles to stake SBS to a 9-1 lead in the first inning of its 15-3 five-inning win in the second game. Bryan Gelinas also had a two-run single in the first. Taylor Reuillard added a home run during SBS’ four-run third.

FALMOUTH SWEEPS YARMOUTH: Spencer Couch tossed a five-hitter in the opener and Nick Spencer pitched a three-hitter in the second game as Falmouth (7-3) took 4-3 and 4-1 wins playing as the home team at Yarmouth (7-5).

Andrew Emple’s two-run double helped Falmouth score four and take a 4-1 lead in the third inning of the opener.

Addison Foltmer started the scoring with a two-run homer in the fourth of the second game.

MASSABESIC SWEEPS BONANZA: Corey Mongiat pitched a two-hitter in the opener and Brian Wardwell tossed a one-hitter in the second game as Massabesic (8-4) took 10-0 and 11-1 five-innings wins over Bonanza of Sanford (1-11) at Waterboro.

Mongiat struck out five and walked none. Wardwell fanned six and walked four.

Jake Pelchat and Casey Nava each drove in two in the opener.

CUMBERLAND SWEEPS LIBBY-MITCHELL: Bailey Train drove home three runs in each game as Cumberland (7-4) posted 8-5 and 10-0 victories over Libby-Mitchell (4-7) in Cumberland.

Train’s three-run homer over the left-field scoreboard keyed a four-run sixth inning that gave Cumberland the 8-5 lead in the opener. Train also laced two doubles in the game and scored four times. Michael McDevitt pitched four hitless innings of relief for the win.

Pete Stauber pitched a five-inning two-hitter in the second game, striking out six. Train and Will Bryant each had three hits and three RBI in the game.

SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS SWEEPS MOODY’S: Joseph Quinlan and Kyle Heath scored first inning runs as SBS (7-3), from Westbrook, struck quickly en route to a 3-0 second-game victory and a sweep of Moody’s (6-6) in Gorham.

Zack Bean scored four runs on four hits to lead SBS to a 17-2 five-inning win in the first game.

SMITH-TOBEY SWEEPS MECHANIC FALLS: Zach Groat had three hits, including a homer, in the second game to help Smith-Tobey complete a doubleheader sweep in Poland.

Smith-Tobey scored three times in the top of the seventh to win the first game 4-3, then two times in the seventh to win the second game, 11-10.

NOBLE, FAYETTE-STAPLES SPLIT: Brandan Reil singled home Grayson Waterman, then scored on an infield grounder as Noble won the opener 2-1 at Saco on Corey Haliday’s four-hitter.

Brandon Briggs of Fayette-Staples (9-3) had a no-hitter in the second game, 11-1, in five innings.

MORRILL POST AND ANDREWS POST SPLIT: Matt DiBiase pitched a six-hitter and hit a two-run triple in the fourth to lead Morrill Post (7-5) to a 6-1 win over Andrews Post (4-5) in the opener at South Portland.

Andrews Post took the second game 3-1 behind a six-hitter by Caleb Fraser, who walked two and struck out seven. Nate Smart’s RBI double keyed a three-run fourth.

BRUNO’S SWEEPS FALMOUTH: Ryan Ruhlin was 7 for 8 with five RBI on the day and pitched a four-hitter in the opener to lead Bruno’s (10-1) to 14-4 and 11-1 five-inning wins over Falmouth (3-4) at Portland.

FIRST TITLE SWEEPS BIDDEFORD SAVINGS: Matt Drouin went 4 for 7 with four RBI and drove in the winning run in the 12th inning as First Title (4-6) took a 10-9 win over Biddeford Savings (6-3) in the opener at Portland.

In the second game, Alex Libby was 3 for 4 with three RBI as First Title took a 10-1 lead in the first two innings and held on for an 11-10 win.

CHASE CUSTOM HOMES SWEEPS WINDHAM MERCHANTS: Mike Chapin singled home Taylor Jackson with the tying run, then scored the winner as Chase (4-6) scored twice in the seventh for a 5-4 victory and a sweep of the Merchants (4-8) in Windham. Chase won the first game, 9-5.

LIBBY-MITCHELL SWEEPS FAYETTE-STAPLES: Benito Onorato’s RBI single helped Libby-Mitchell (6-3) score three in the fifth for a 7-5 win over Fayette-Staples (0-10) in the opener at Scarborough. Damian Ramsdell added two RBI.

Onorato had three hits and an RBI in the second game as Libby-Mitchell won 13-1 in six innings.
