LISBON FALLS – As part of last weekend’s celebration of all things Moxie, more than 500 runners gathered in Lisbon Falls on July 14 for the annual Moxie Days 5K road race.
As it turns out, the runner with the most “Moxie” was a Freeport native, Josh Zolla, who won the race in 15:28, more than 30 seconds faster than runner-up Erik McCarthy of Old Town, who finished in 16:00 flat. Durham’s Adam Zukowski was fifth overall, with a time of 17:06. Christie Tabbi-Tebbets of Lisbon was the women’s winner, crossing the line in 19:41.
