PORTLAND — A Westbrook man arrested following a drug raid is due to make his first court appearance today.

Benjamin L. Grubb, 21. was arrested Monday by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin. MDEA agents and Westbrook police had been looking for Grubb since they raided a room at a Westbrook motel on June 29.

Authorities found nearly three ounces of heroin with an estimated street value of $10,000, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Grubb is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Unified Criminal Court this afternoon. He is being held at the Cumberland County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

Grubb was one of several people with access to the motel room, and additional arrests are likely, according to the Public Safety Department.
